Value to Atlanta

The Fusion! 2009 Program will benefit the Atlanta Community by creating an unprecedented template for which students of different cultures, ethnic backgrounds, artistic expressions, and academic disciplines can collaborate and actively learn from each other.  The Fusion! 2009 Program will help to transform our community from one that is diverse but segregated to one that is truly cohesive and beautifully rich in cross cultural interaction.  The Fusion! 2009 Program is an exciting and innovative way to bring students out of their own “comfortable zones” and have them interact and collaborate with other students of different cultures and ethnic backgrounds.  In addition, the Fusion! 2009 Program provides a valuable creative outlet for talented students to break their own routines by joining forces with other innovative professionals.  By creating this innovative outlet, Fusion! also gives the young leaders of tomorrow an opportunity to create new forms of artistic expression based on acceptance and integration.  Finally, by positively changing Atlanta community’s landscape, we will inevitably shatter the false image of Atlanta as a ethnically segregated city.  By displaying such exciting array of cultural colors created from Fusion!, we become not a melting pot, but a beautiful mosaic.    

Community:  Creating New Colors

Fusion! is designed to bring the beauties of different cultures together while preserving each one’s own heritage.  Students from all parts of Atlanta will come together, learn from each other, and create unique bonds and new perspectives on race, diversity, and culture.

Education:  Learning through Action 
By learning through actions, the Atlanta community will better understand the importance cultural diversity and enhance the collaboration between ethnic groups.

Creativity and the Arts: A New Form of Expression
Fusion will create unique inquiries by combining music, dance, and visual arts. Cultures and styles will come together to bring a new form of artistic expression.

A Truly International Image
For domestic and international students, Fusion! displays the essence of diversity when different cultures, styles, languages work together.   Fusion! will paint a picture of unity for students of all countries, cultures, and backgrounds.   Fusion! will become a main attraction for Atlanta by highlighting the synergy and benefits that come with diversity.
